Some of the pictures I took for my magazine front covers, content pages and my double page spread.

Double page spread

Cover :
Medium shot of the cover model holding a Spanish guitar in an upright position.
Mode of address : looking down at the floor, or looking up and in mid laughter, experimental piano stool to sit on.
background :  White background, ill use the one in photography, to match the red of the models jumper.
Masthead : Will be in a burgundy red that matches the color of the models jumper. experiment with a brighter red or a black.

Cover lines : maybe the same red or experiment with black, find a font that gives the impression of sophistication, as it is related to the magazines genre ( classical)
 Graphic feature : No graphic features with any extreme shapes, which would not relate to the magazines genre
limited graphic features.

Model:
Jake Powell will be my model
He will be wearing a dark red sweater and a shirt with a shirt, and maybe a black tie.
Props : He will have a Spanish guitar borrowed from music, maybe experiment with another classical instrument. May borrow a piano stool from music, may have to make do with a normal chair.

contents:
An interview with Jake about what its like to be one of the biggest composers in classical music.
Double page spread
Experiment with a few other pictures of Jake that I took maybe as a background to the double page spread, or as an image in the picture.
The questions asked in the interview will be a different color to the answers.
Experiment between red,white, or black.

A mood board of some classical music magazines. This gives me a good idea of what my magazine should look like. I will take into account all the different aspects of these magazines, like for example the three cover rule, which is very important when designing a classical music magazine as it is used to attract the reader to the front cover. It also promotes a certain professionalism to the front cover, which relates to the magazines genre.
